:D Elle me manque! (which awkwardly means, I miss her, despite the fact that it means "she misses me" when translated directly)
Δ So, the french buddies left Singapore )':
23 July 2011, 00:16
Can you believe it? It has been 17 days since I first met Madeleine at the stupid welcoming speech thing at MOE. At first, we were all pretty awkward and everything but these 17 days have been superb. We just went for all the fun and having her staying at home is a brand new experience, for the both of us. This is crazy, somehow, we've become close. And now, they are on the plane back to France, which is really sad ): And I will miss her, or them. I really love this clique, fyi. It was a tiring, but a really really really fun experience. I cant wait to go to Bordeaux on the 25th of November! (":
Δ C'est trop triste que demain, nous allons dire au revoir et pas à demain

Δ Madeleine's leaving THIS friday D:
20 July 2011, 13:48
Ahhh, Madeleine's leaving this friday... and its wednesday already! I can't believe this. But anyways, until then we still have about a hundred hours?
So, yesterday, there was reception at the ambassador of france's house. And we had dinner there. Nope nope, not the kind of banquet dinner with fifty people sitting at the table, but rather those socializing ones where you stand throughout and they keep serving food in small portions. They look as if they're desserts or something but woohooo, they're really good. And you get really full after a while despite attempts to rejects lots of food so as to look lady like, sighhhh. Oh, there was macarons! The desserts were the best but they were served really late. Like, we were going off already D: Food that needs to be highlighted: Smoked salmon (super good) and prune wrapped with bacon (don't say eew or what the hell until you've tried it for yourself) Oh, and I wore the (cheapo) black dress (jie bought from far east) and looked pretty good. That's ego, but well, I hardly wear black dresses. 8D Okay, Im so high about it. Perhaps I should study french really hard and be Singapore's ambassador to France or something. Haha, that was plain crazy daydreaming. xD
Δ Today?
17 July 2011, 21:42
So! Where did we go today? While waiting for the others, I bought Reese cups for Madeleine. But Fanny (Vaillant) came along halfway and we shared them. And then, they wanted to try Garett's popcorn (which is super expensive...). But I bought a small pack of the macademia caramel crisp ones just to let them try. And as expected, they really liked it (: And so, we met Rachelle and Erika and went to Mint Museum of Toys. It was really really cool for all the collections. It's a bit small though. /: But it was cool. And then we walked haji lane a bit before we returned to bugis junction, sat and rested and chatted before we went for BBQ. Bought a mini apple strudel on the way. Omg, its Ritz, and its good, and its expensive -.- BBQ was fun, and actually involved smoking and beer... ... ... And yeah, dancing, and swimming. If you were wondering, none of which I participated in. I just sat there and chatted. (:
Yesterday was more fun though, in my opinion. We went for karaoke and then national day preview. And it was really high, throughout the day. WOOOHOOOOOO! 8D The kbox was just super fun (and funny). Then the national day parade was pretty cool. Liked a part where they shot(???) confetti into the air. Like, lots of confetti <3 <3 And then the fireworks! A. M. A. Z. I. N. G.

Some people have made my day. I've never told you guys, but thanks for making my day! :'D I'm like, so happy.
Δ Today: bao plus cheenatown plus iluma plus tired legs
10 July 2011, 22:24
So, we went to eat bao today for breakfast! :D I got Madeleine to try the longevity buns(???) (寿桃), char siew bun, pork bun, lean pork bun (???) (扣肉包), chicken bun, red bean paste bun. ^^ All from the stall in toapayoh, which is real delicious. In the afternoon, I brought her back to chinatown, where it started raining not long after. And so, we escaped to bugis instead. They(Madeleine, Marie and Erika) ended up spazzing at the japanese stuff at the shops there. Okay, it was fun. But tiring. We went to the library after that and being real tired, we two were at the children section, looking at books about France. And Madeleine spotted a french grammar mistake "Bienvenue à France!" It's supposed to be "Bienvenue en France!" Haha, and she's kind of irritated about that. And also, we saw this boy on the book who's name was "Jean-Paul" and Madeleine was so amused because that's an old name for people in their 50s xD
Δ 1st time to Universal Studios Singapore! :D
09 July 2011, 11:53
C'est le premier fois que je vais à Universal Studios Singapore (USS) et il est 'AMAZING'! :D
So today is Saturday. I didn't go for tuition but went for this with my french buddy, Madeleine, and many others who are going for the immersion programme and their buddies. We were this whole big group. WOOOHOOOOO. Although its a bit sad that we didn't finish all of the rides, it is still fun to go out with them! And I took 2 roller coaster rides today! (But I'm still scared of them -.-) I took the
Revenge of the Mummy. It was supposed to be really scary at the start where it goes backwards, into the dark, but since Woon talked about it during English PT discussions, I expected it already. But still, that was scary. And it wasn't any better sitting right in front. Maybe it was better cause I could see the tracks at some parts. Then there's the
Battlestar Galactica. I took the human one, which is the red one, the one without the turns upside down. Okay, that wasn't very very very scary. Or maybe it was just that I was screaming all the way, I didn't notice anything else. But still, I survived it. Yayness. Then there's the Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure. The ride's kind of short, so yeah, it wasn't as cool as those overseas one with the big slides. But the cool thing about this is that it's totally based on luck if you're getting drenched. It's a float, so you have no idea which part of the float is facing the ending slide/water splash. And if you were wondering if I got wet, yes, I did. But not that bad thanks to fengzhuo's raincoat! Yayyyyy :D I also did the canopy flyer, which was an estimated 30secs ride which we waited nearly 20 minutes for. We all kind of felt cheated. -.- Oh, and there was the
King Julien's Beach Party-Go-Round, which is basically a Madagascar themed carousel. That was childish but it was fun! I got onto gloria the hippo! 8D It's cute to the max.
Lights, Camera, Action! Hosted by Steven Spielberg was plain cool, where they show you how special effects are done. Cool!
Shrek 4-D adventure is a 4-d show (obviously). But it was fun! And I think you look cool when you put on those 4-d glasses. 8D We went for a
Pantages Hollywood Theatre, which I think was a waste of time 'cause I almost fell asleep halfway. Sorry, but yeah, its really boring for me D: Oh! I went for the
Accelerator which is as stupid because you are basically spun (in circles) and the ride ends before you even get a little giddy -.- And peishan was trying to be high, screaming during the ride. Ohkay, lol.
UNIVERSAL STUDIOS WAS PRETTY MUCH FUN. TOOK LOTS OF PRETTY PICTURES 8D
(Okay, I should add in the details about this.. event, soon.)
Δ Buddy's fourth day in SG!
06 July 2011, 21:43
Everything's looking better! Everything's gotten a lot less awkward and I start to understand her, what she likes and things like that. And I'm really really starting to enjoy everything, although its not the most pleasant thing to be shopping in orchard with a big bulky heavy bag. I really want to bring her to Plaza Singapura! I think she will like the shop that sells things for scrap-booking. And maybe spotlight too? Okay, there's suddenly a whole new list of places I want to bring her to and things I want to let her try. I used to want to bring her for all the crazy shopping I would love but not anymore! :D
Δ Things to do for the next 3 days! :D
