Δ Class gathering

(: class gathering at Daniel's place was pretty fun hahah. Well, at least most of the class turned up so that's quite rare. Even our master teeyong turned up LOL. Most of them arrived in the afternoon to study at his house but I went in the evening. Ok, I was late, but in my defense, I brought chocolates. I didn't actually go empty handed, like yayyy. We ate (lee wee brothers still have awesome oath and acha (: ) and went to watch the sunset. They had a really nice view from the 22nd storey where the clouds were super beautiful and colorful. We were so desperate we had to ask this guy -the only guy- in the gym to help us with the clasp photo. LOL. Ok, we were playing (rather intellectual omg) card/board games throughout the night, and yes I lost so badly. T_T I was playing this board game called Isla Dorada against Daniel, TeeYong and Reudi (yah, I must be mad playing intellectual games with this group of people) and it turned out pretty fun. It was not the easiest to get through the rules at first because there were like the adventure cars and the curse cards and the treasure(??) cards and the destiny cards - that's like four kinds of cards, not to mention the different functions of the different cards in each pile. Quoting Reudi, "suddenly I appreciate Monopoly for its simplicity" the rest were playing some card game. I have no idea what they were engaged in but well, they were super high, making a lot of noise. The ambiance is so much better thanks to them. After the rest of the girls left (well, I was halfway rough the game and couldn't leave D: ), the rest started playing this card game called citadels which they were playing before I arrived, I don't really know what the final objective of the game was so I was pretty clueless watching them, but it was fun nonetheless. (: I went off when Raphael and guys went off. His dad was super nice and offered to send us to the MRT station though I had to squeeze at the back the the three guys. Ohmygod. It was... That bad. Next time I need to something like that, I think I'll walk or something instead. I didn't have the problem with other guys but I think it's just by cause we don't know one another very well, so there were some things that came across to me as pretty... Idk, rude? And ok, I series of unrelated bad things continued from three. Ok, things is not the most suitable word here but I can't explain it either, so meh, things it shall be for now. Yupps, so I was in a pretty shitty mood yesterday but yah, I'll get over them soon enough,

What's the point of studying for CTs when hardly anyone around you is actually happy or coping with their lives? I don't understand. Fml, there isn't even someone I can scream and vent my anger on. Ugh what is this.

After not having macs for a really really really long time, I finally managed to grab something there again. (Okay, not that I don't have the chance to eat there, but you know, there's something annoying called calories that makes just guilt trips you all the time. ) But I guess studying is a good excuse to rewrd yoursself and snack out! ((((: I tried the butterscotch ice cream the other day and the banana pie today. I really liked the butterscotch ice cream - because hello, it''s butterscotch. I have no idea why I've got this liking for anything buttery (speaking of which - I miss eating shortbread, should really get some sometime soon D;). In addition, there's the banana pie which is like the apple pie but softer and a teeny weeny bit less sweet. That was actually surprising since I thought bananas were much sweeter than apples, so it's either that they dump a whole lot of sugar into the apple pie (nooooooo) or that my taste buds can't tell the difference between different degrees of sweetness (which is actually pretty possible), but who cares, they taste good all the same :D

Δ RI-Maurick Water Conferencce 2014

The water conference officially ended tonight, although I was only involved in the opening ceremony on monday and the symposium on wednesday. It was a really fun experience from working with the fellow ushers, chatting with the vvips and interacting with the conference participants. I remember enthusiastically signing up for the "events and cultural night committee" to find out that it was actually just an ushers and logistics committee. (Like, meh.) But it turned out to be an amazing decision despite what it seems. I decided to sign up as a vip usher. So, you get to look smart (or not, I've got friends who say otherwise ); ) and talk to the really amazing vvips (ambassadors, professors, industry leaders, keynote speakers... wow) and make friends!Minyi, Mengyue and I were ushering for both the monday and wednesday event, so we grew pretty close resting backstage, rushing for leftover desserts and well, complaining about hurting feet. I also got the chance to talk to the overseas participants during breaks or when they reported early for the events. (: I think it was a smart choice for me to have taken up a less heavy role too I guess, now that I have more time to do my revision. Yayyy fun (:
