Δ A furry of interviews/tests & csc outing!

Wow it's been quite a while since I've last blogged! The last two weeks have been pretty happening with the interviews and tests from different universities. So here's an update on how everything went:

Super early April: NTU accepts me for Accountancy & Business!
9 April: SUTD Interview was rather informal. I didn't bring any portfolio or anything but the interviewers were nice! Oh the chairs at the One Stop Centre where I had my interviews were great too hahahaha. And xinhui happened to be before me! She was supposed to have hers on tuesday but she her interview got postponed and she ended up getting interviewed on thursday too. But yeah the interviewers were really nice and were generally asking about what you did for CCAs etc. Everybody spoke really quickly and I didn't get to sell my own qualities as welll as I wanted too so.. /:
11 April 10.10am: SMU-SUTD Interview was quite crappy actually. We had to respond to a text passage about altruism and I ended up asking the prof what the point of the passage was hahahahaha. Like aren't you just supposed to earn the heck of money out of everybody LOL. But the
2.40pm: Social sciences interview was... rubbish. Ok was quite annoyed generally so there goes all hope of me accepting social sciences,
17 April: NUS Law Interview. It started raining when I left the MRT station and stopped when I reached NUS!! I ended up being drenched even though I had an umbrella cause I shared it with someone else on the way /: Met and chatted with some awesome people from Hwachong when going to/coming back for interview. The interview itself was quite challenging because the law profs were asking me about 377A (ie gay rights) and I obviously had no idea how to counter lol.
18 April: NUS Architecture Aptitude Test was, well, quite horrible. I made a model that didn't quite look like a model. In my defense, there was only an hour! ): (Self consolation: At least it could stand.) And the interviewers just looked like they didn't understand what I was saying all the way through my interview so well... 凶多吉少
19 April: Well, NUS Law Test wasn't easy. (Surprise surprise. ) There were a ton of familiar faces, and I guess the other hallf would probably be from Hwachong. (Surprise surprise) I tried the best I could but I guess I am not the best at arguing a case, so I'll leave it to the profs.

Yesterday afternoon, we also had csc outing. Although not everybbody could make it, a good number of us could. Xinwei, Ranald, Sam, Dennis, Sijie and Zen could make it so... YAY


We had ramen then went to play pool then I left ): But hey, I potted a decent number of balls (mostly because tthey lined it up for me I think LOL). But yeah it was fun, I got to learn quite a bit on how to play. (: It was really nice being able to catch up with them, its been a really long time since we've been that crazy. Yay.

Δ { A heart of steel starts to grow } 410 & frenchies dinners

C'était un week-end de 3 jours plutôt génial! J'ai eu 2 sorties: la première samedi soir avec ma classe de sec 3 et sec 4 chez Kathleen et la deuxième avec quelques amis qui m'avait accompagné à Bordeaux.

Samedi, il n'y avait que Kathleen, Sabrina, Louisa, Jiamin, Xinhui, Limin, Jueying, Farah, Tabitha, Wanling, Ruitong et moi qui étaient présents mais à mon avis, c'était déjà très réussi! Nous avons tous partagé ce qu'on a fait pendant les vacances après les A levels ainsi que ce qu'on veut faire à l'avenir. Certaines (comme Tabitha) ont, naturellement,  des idées plus claires de la caractère qu'elles souhaitent à devenir et certaines comme moi, un peu moi. Néanmois, il fait chaud au coeur que nous sommes tous en train de se découvrir et tous ce que nous avons fait l'experience pendant cette période l'ont contribué significativement. C'était aussi une très belle moment pour se rappeller de tous qui s'était passé en 2011 et en 2012: les habitudes (drôles) de nos profs, les choses stupides qu'on a fait... les bons moments sont toujours chéris.

Dimanche soir, Hanyi, Jieying, Louisa, Sihong, Nathaniel et moi ont dinés ensembles. En fait, nous avons pris beaucoup de temps à decider le restaurant. Nous avons initialement choisi un restaurant mais parce qu'il coûte cher et la formule proposée ne semble pas superbe, nous avons décidé à changer un restaurant (après avoir s'assis dans le restaurant pour très longtemps). (C'était véritablement embarrassant. ) Mais après nous avons décidé à essayer le Chir Chir Chicken à 313 Somerset. C'est une chaîne de restaurant coréenne, mes amis m'ont dit qu'elle est très bien connue au Corée du Sud. Le restaurant vends principalement du poulet frite à partager entre deux personnes. Donc, nous avons commandé ce poulet frite avec des pâtes et ce poulet rôti (parce que je refuse à manger les poulets frites - j'ai arrivé à cette étape qu'ils ne m'attirent plus maintenant). Je leurs suis très reconnaissant pour ceder à ma demande! ((: Selon moi, je ne suis pas un fan de leur poulet et c'est pas du tout bon marché. Peut-être parce que nous avons partagé 2 plats entre 6 personnes, il n'est pas vraiment assez. Dans tout cas, ensuite, nous sommes allés à Marché où certains ont eu le dessert et nous avons tous parlés et discuté. C'était bon d'avoir un rendez vous avec eux (:

J'ai choisi le titre "A heart of steel starts to grow", l'un des lignes des paroles de Superheroes par The Script, parce que je me suis rendu compte que c'est vraiment une étape formatrice qu'on tous se developpe et qu'on prends la prèmiere étape à notre vie adulte. En plus, j'ai confiance en tous mes amis qu'ils vont trouver le bon chemin pour eux-mêmes. Ils vont avoir une coeur en acier.
