Δ Tintin in 3D! :D

Went to watch Tin Tin: The Secrets of the Unicorn in 3D today :D Heh, it was a good movie (though I thought the digital version would probably have been good enough. Hmm.) Like in the book, I found Captain Haddock the best character. 'BARNACLES! ' and the love for whiskey, omg, captain haddock is just super duper funny. And there is this quote that is really cool in it, said by Captain Haddock.

Captain Haddock: I thought you were an optimist.
Tintin: You were wrong, weren't you? I'm a realist.
Captain Haddock: Ah, it's just another name for a quitter.
Tintin: You can call me what you like. Don't you get it? We failed.
Captain Haddock: Failed. There are plenty of others willing to call you a failure. A fool. A loser. Don't you ever say it of yourself. You send out the wrong signal, that is what people pick up. Don't you understand? You care about something, you fight for it. You hit a wall, you push through it. There's something you need to know about failure, Tintin. You can never let it defeat you.

Δ Youth Infocomm Day 2011

So. I went for the youth infocomm day 2011, held at the F1 Pit Building. Ohkay, the view's really really really spectacular, unless you want to be really picky and say that the trees aren't placed neatly along the roads and stufffff. But well, I got my youth infocomm ambassador badge. Got the blazer too, but its a little over sized. It becomes especially obvious (and ugly) when I sit down. ): Stayed there for hours just for that. /sigh. But at least, I got to go out. There was a showcase of people's works but none really struck me as really really really good (but yes, they were good). Best part was that there was candy floss (HEH) and balloon sculpturing! Ohkay I got a really cute yellowish-orangey bear with black sunglasses with a transparent heart shaped balloon that had a pink balloon inside (after queuing for forever ohkayyy). Its so cute, I need to post a picture of it. Argh the picture's pretty lousy, but whatever, its just so so so damn cute. (L)

And I almost forgot! There was an in house magician, and he performed card tricks. I so luckily got to choose the card for those sign-on-the-card, chuck card into deck, but hey!, it appears on the top again, kind of tricks :D And so, the magician gifted me the card which i signed on, signing off with a one word message, 'Believe!' I thought that was actually pretty cool :D It is a 2 of hearts anyways. Hmm.

Oh, and its 11/11/11 today! And yes, I made a wish at 11:11pm. To all of you out there who made a 11:11 wish too, may your wishes come true! (:

Δ Highlight for the day: briefing for french trip! :D

Ohkay I think I'm getting overly excited about this, but well, its getting to go to France! Really can't help but to be really really excited! 8D So basically, today's post-EYA activity was watching a movie called The Help at Suntec City (Eng Wah!). Its about racism, pretty touching movie (: But then I had to go back to school for RS meeting after that. Wasn't particularly exciting since I had to miss shopping at suntec (oh wells, not like I had money anyways xD) . But anyways, it was kind of fun at the meeting actually 'cause as usual, it was rather informal, and ms tan was being really funny (she bought a mickey mouse suitcase instead of a samsonite one...?!?!) Uhm then there was the briefing. The itinerary is finally out, it is not entirely confirmed and there are blanks here and there still, but those are probably all the smart-casual events only /: We'll be going to Bordeaux as well as other smaller cities around it like, Saint-Émilion, Arcachon and Biarritz. Activities include all kinds of visits and some wine-tasting thing :D When I say all kinds of visits, I mean it. There's a visit to a tv studio, a oyster shack, to a castle... Really really looking forward to the trip! :D

Yesterday was French day. Had one at the start of the year at bison campus but this one's different in a way. The other one was more on playing games related to french, like word games or whatsoever, but this one is more of playing games to understand the French culture. Made crêpes (hehe, spammed mine with nutella!), learnt about specialties of the different regions, tasted cheese(comté ftw! Roquefort wasn't was surprisingly quite nice! Like blue cheese :D) , sang some C-I-T-R-O-N song, played pictionary (Ohkay, we should all become abstract art appreciates..), some roll the dice game. Woohoo. Our group came in second place. Like duh, we have alicia, french pro!~ Got the book, don't think i'd even understand the first page though... ):

Oh, I didn't mention about this: THE RAIN. Before that, we helped out as students acting to talk about their favourite expressions in our respective languages (in actual fact, only Alicia spoke, and it was totally scripted) We ended real early, so I wanted to walk back to school to get my bottle, which I left in class over the weekend T_T, and some comics. Lewin made a terrible choice to come with me and it rained on the way. And ohkay, we were drenched. HEH :D
