Δ 17.

(Pictures will be posted later, I just had to write this now. )
Happy 17th Yilei.
Though today wasn't really that happy. I actually made plans to do things with any friend that would ask me out but I couldn't make it on Friday with Cheryl in the end and the other people were just busy, even mummy and daddy. It was lonely. I should have expected this but I'm still disappointed, so it's just my fault I guess, but I guess I was really appreciative of my family for being there as much as they could. Like, mummy kept insisting on having a better dinner to celebrate my birthday even though we already ate out at Kim's that day; daddy let me choose what I want to eat and went early to queue up; I could at least be at yiyi's place and be with someone for pretty much the whole day; and jiejie sent a birthday card for mummy and I long ago and sent me a message really early in the morning. And yeah, Cheryl stayed up just to be the first to wish me happy birthday though she was 99.9% in zazaland (though she claims she was doing bio - or something). And oh, special mentions to Ruo Yi who tried to be cool and send me a handmade birthday video at midnight-ish but unfortunately, got a bit blur and sent one night in advance. Like, LOL.
A very big thank you to all who wished me happy birthday. Knowing that you guys cared to at least leave a birthday message was really nice and it was great knowing you guys remembered/were reminded by facebook too. They really mean a lot to me. Thank you (in order of who wished me happy birthday first) 14S03Q (for the birthday song, but where is my class birthday card?!?!?! D<), Ruo Yi, Cheryl, JingJing, BW11 (we are finally having an outing - that doesn't require athletic skills -), SiHong, 4th cousin, ZhiYan, KitYin, Elston, HuiYun, Grace, Beverly and all the people who posted on facebook (time to reply you guys now!)
P.S. @cheryl I had 饭团 today for lunch, I'm making do with the chinese version of samgakkimbap. (;
I FORGOT ABOUT WISHES. I hope I get chem someday. I spent the whole day and finished only 8 MCQ questions. ... Sigh. (Ohkay the others are pretty much secrets - you aren't supposed to announce your wishes anyway, or else they wouldn't come true. ) Byebye, really hoped that it wasn't so quiet today, but whatever, it's the last 60 seconds of today already. Happy birthday Yilei, tomorrow will be a better day. (Actually no, you have tons of work to do.)
Δ Burrrrrp: Can you feel the love smell the food in the air?
25 March 2013, 22:30

Mummy's birthday! And that spark of coolness ^^.
HAPPY (very belated) BIRTHDAY MUMMY! We went out to eat to celebrate and got a chocolate mousse cake. It was super good. Like really, I'm not kidding, just that the strawberries on top were really sour and everyone ended up pushing them to one another.

Kim's Family Restaurant: Still my favourite!
Ohkay, we went there in advance to eat and celebrate my birthday. Like, YAY. But in the end, I was the only one who really liked the food and daddy was just like, "ohkay lor, normal" and mummy and yiyi's faces ranged from |: to /: But I really love their spicy rice cakes, it's just different from the lame
French Day: the free postcards of Quebec.
French Day (23 March) was just about eating. The whole thing was just food tasting and sale of old french books in the library. Well, there was a quiz, but it wasn't really cool. But I really had fun 'cause the postcards are so super pretty. Hehe. And the food wasn't half bad.
Δ Rants first, happy stuff later.

It feels terrible to know you're causing people pain, especially when you can't apologize or do a damn thing about it or when they think you don't give a damn about it. Aish idk how to say this. Yeah, bye.
Δ Class camp!
15 March 2013, 20:11

The photos actually look good when put together omg. Anyway, class camp was really really fun. Like, the activities planned were fun but really slack at the same time, plus our facilitator was really easy going, so we had a lot of time doing our own rubbish. So anyway, I only joined my class after the (terrible) french examinations yesterday, when they were about to go for the night walk. (Basically it's just going to the jetty and the playground.) So when I arrived, I've got a grand entrance with my class standing along the staircase, waiting for my arrival and cheering when they saw me. It was pretty hilarious, but cool (8
At the jetty, we just stood around listening to music, taking photos, before the ice cream man came and we all got ice cream. Then we strolled to the playground. Surprise surprise, even athletic people might not be able to swing. There were quite a number of us who didn't know how to swing (though we had crazy people like Joanna and Qiwei who could possibly do a 180 degrees swing), and we had to teach them, like, stretch your legs, lean back, lean forward! Lol.
We got rushed back to the campsite at around 10.30pm, and that when the fun parts start. At first the girls stayed in our own basha (tarp supported by wooden sticks) to gossip a bit, but we ended up gathering/squeezing at the guys' side for ghost story, by which a few got scared (or perhaps they were just tired) and went back to sleep. When we ran out of ghost stories and mystery stories to tell, we kind of split into two groups of conversation. So our group was really funny as we got people to share about their secrets and how we eventually thought we were too deep, and so as to lighten the conversations, the questions posted had to be "one deep, one simple". I actually found that the "heart to heart talk" (as the girls would call it) was really meaningful because we got to know a different side of each other. Personally, I really look at one of my classmates in a new light because things aren't actually as great as they seem on the surface. So by about 2.30 in the morning, we gradually ran out of questions and so this adequately big group of us cut down to a 8 man strong team who still refuses to sleep.
(Let me just write down who was there to trace when the people slowly went to sleep. )
Kimberly lum, Beatrix, Daniel, Yingyao, Jonathan, Joanna, me, Nicholas, Raphael, Qiwei, Tabitha and Melvin.
+ Kimberly tan and Fangni who joined in/switched to our group.
Nicholas (fell asleep really early)
Joanna, Rapahel, Qiwei, Kimberly Tan and Fangni (after we ran out of questions)
Back to story. So we, the #yolo8, didn't want to disturb the others, and thus went to sit at a bench at the reception centre and played the finger game! We did opt for two, or three rounds and until it was around 3.30am. Some people who had wanted to stay up couldn't take it anymore and went to sleep.
Beatrix, Daniel, Tabitha and Melvin
Yingyao wanted to sleep but we managed to persuade him to sleep a bit later and play a few rounds of card games with us. 3 rounds I think, and...
Yingyao
(/random, the way I'm eliminating the people who went to sleep feels as if I was following a Survivor show -__-) So anyway, now we are left with the #yolotrio. We played cheat that turned out to be really meaningless, shared more about ourselves aka secrets (now its become the secrets of the #yolotrio) and when we finally had nothing to do, we stargazed! (Now that I think of it, it sounds pretty awkward. As in, we lied on the tarp (on the ground) and peeked our heads out via the side of the basha and so the tarp above hung above our necks. Lol. ) Anyway, then Kim couldn't take it anymore and went to sleep (yes, in the guys' basha, in that awkward position. ) So it was just Jonathan (who insists that he wasn't tired though he kept yawning away) and I who didn't sleep at all. We just talked about more stuffs uh, then by the time we knew it, it was 6++++++ already and the stars were disappearing ): so well. Oh special mention to Amelia who stayed up all night too, but she was with her friends so.. /:
Anyway, we had some class bonding activity in the morning. Like, how everyone had to throw a ball to the next person and catch a ball from another at the same time, using one hand, without anyone dropping, 10 people had to jump over the rope 5 times consecutively, 10 people had to solve 2 puzzles and how the class had to gather in a circle and go through the hula hoop, in the shortest time possible. (Learning point: I really need to work on throwing and catching LOL) and then it was cleanup. In between we took small breaks to take Polaroids hehe.
And on the bus, we did a parody of the Call Me Maybe and the enthusiasm of Melvin made me end up in the awkward front row. Omg. (But it was really fun+funny to do this as a class cause the guys actually initiated on doing it, they went as far as just choreographing everything and arranging the seating plans and stuffs and even had to do a tutorial in front of everyone of us at the jetty. So I thought this was really how 14S03Q showed that they have a uniquely retarded side and even though some of us were highly embarrassed (and probably unwilling), everyone still chipped in and we got it done! (:
Really loving 3Q (:
But ugh, I've got this huge awkward mosquito bite on the right foot sole. -_-
Δ ... Inefficient searching methods
14 March 2013, 12:11
This is going to end up sounding like something I posted when I was p6. But anyway, guess what I saw when I typed in " la polémique l'OGM".. The article that came out for my french examinations! That was such a obvious thing to google as background research before such examinations but some how I didn't and -___- ugh, this is so stupid. Ohkay, not that it's hard or anything but I could have prepared for it so much better. Ohkay rant rant rant rant rant. I'm going to google more stuffs in preparation for the coming one. And anyway, I'm really excited for class camp. (My class is getting crazier by the day I swear, we brought lots of snacks and planned out so many things to we could do together at night.) All these summarizes into one main point actually: I'm really looking forward to the end of french exams.
Δ Génération Goldman 8D
11 March 2013, 18:20
Δ Tired.

But that's the best way out - being tired.
Δ Dramafest 2013
03 March 2013, 00:07
Dramafest was great, not to mention BW won best play aha. EBINABATION!
Given such short preparation times, the five plays were really really great. The ideas behind each of the plays were super complex and yet all of them managed to simply these concepts into a 25 minutes play. Time for personal rants!
MT: Personally, I felt that MR's was too complete, as in it gave an answer to the audience instead of opening up a question for thought, which made it nice as a short play but lacking in depth.
BB: Ohkay I didn't really get BB's play about death, it's because of my own personal experiences I guess, so it felt plainer in comparison.
HH: HH's was really really funny haha, but like MR, it doesn't pose a question, so well, it got kind of disappointing for me as they approached the end.
BW: I really really really wanted Ebinabation (as in the character in the play) to change the world for the better ): Like, why didn't he just insist of his way of freeing everyone, why did he just get bullied around like that. Ohkay, it's probably due to time constraints, but meh, why did they just mess around with his memory, it's not cool. ))): Haha, and Ebinabation looked so awkward in those clothes and striped socks on stage (which made the play really kiddy and cute haha). But anyway, I think BW's got really boring in the middle, like they just kept waking up and repeating the same old things. (So no, I didn't think BW was really that good to be first. But I guess it worked for the more professional judges, so well, things turned out a pleasant surprise. )
MT: MT's was a wow in terms of their sets. Their genre was horror, which I thought was really well-reflected through the character, Chris, and the sets. (I think the set blew me away so much, I wasn't really paying much attention to everything else.) Oh yah, it wasn't a happy ending, so ):<
Haha, yeah, that's about it. Despite my personal rants, the whole dramafest was amazing! Oh wait, I forgot to mention the last part, a spoof, by Raffles Players where everything from the five plays were incorporated into one. It was super duper funny. (Y).
Δ Baby Griffles!
01 March 2013, 16:57
I was (finally) packing the stuffs from the aurora orientation shoe bag and I saw a sticker of the baby Griffles. It's so so so cute omg. Ahaha think I'm a bit high today from being overly sleepy. K, bye. :D gonna try finding one of those Griffles plush, hehe. (And look at the aurora of colours! /ö/ )
