I guess you've guessed by now that this is going to be another of those crazy moments where I try to act deep and think about life. Well yeah, I'm sorry you're right. These few days have been pretty crazy and I've been crazily shifting between chionging math homework, physics homework, advanced math homework, design prototyping, physics prototyping and Cultural Night. It's pretty fun to be that busy that it's physically and mentally demanding. These days I get so tired I just end up sleeping in every other Physics class which unfortunately happen to be the first class in the morning. I just can't focus and I don't have the time to revise eve though my exams are next week. Well, before I continue with the rest of this, here's some of the things that I've been working on recently:-

I've been working with the other cultural clubs in the cultural cluster to make Cultural Night happen and it's kind of cool that it's happening this coming thursday! It's quite cool because this is one of the few times I get to plan events on a school level and it's pretty amazing that I came up with the posters and such. Well, credits to the people who did the font and the geometric shapes, but hey I put them together x: For the first time, I also got to draw on the black board? (Many thanks for all the wonderful people who used to design the black boards at RJ because those were a precious source of inspiration - how did they make them so pretty?!) In any case, it's a blessing to be able to work with seniors this time round because they have much more experience in planning events and they made sure that things were on track. Whenever people look to me for things and I get overloaded or am simply clueless, there always seems to be some senior whom I can reach out to for help - for that I'm really thankful. Although I've been really stressed out and such, I really look forward to thursday (which is unfortunately a day after math exam on weds and a day before physics exam on fri). Anyway, if for whatever weird reason you happen to be reading this, please buy the macarons from French Connection. They look really legit and yes, I've pre-ordered a box for myself.

Upcoming stuff: Orientation! Damn excited for this and this is the reason why I titled this post as such. It's only the planning of Cultural Night and I'm already so stressed up. Furthermore, term 3 is going to be a full blown 4 academic modules. Woohoo, good luck. The o'comm exco just met up on thursday and we also met up with the o'comm exco 2015. Not one of them said it was easy but from the way they were spoke to one another, one thing was clear - they had fond memories and had built some awesome synergy right there. Another time to be thankful for supportive seniors because the previous director took time to talk to each of us, whoever was taking over the position. And so I was talking to Ryan, the previous Programmes Director and if there was anything from the short conversation that I want to keep in my small head, this is it: (something along the lines of) If you chose to be programmes, then I believe there's some craziness in you. All the programmes director before me have been damn crazy one la. Just do what you want, it's all up to you. Just choose a good team that you can work with, learn to be firm in your stance when you have to. It will reach a point where you constantly ask yourself why you are doing this, then, just think about why you joined in the first place. "JIAYOU! Its gonna be tough journey but a really fulfilling one! Gimme a text if u need some help!" Maybe I'm getting old and weak but casual words of encouragement like these really get me going these days. So yay, I'm really looking forward to working with my o'comm.
